WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

And that is why some people continue to watch hockey no matter how dreary it all seems. Because even at the end of an awful season, you can run into a game like tonight's. The fun and wonder of it might be dulled by the morning light but for tonight, it looks pretty frakkin' beautiful.

It was a great game from the third on... lot's of inspired play and Maxi setting off the rumble. Good stuff. I have missed seeing that spark in their eyes.

Enduring the numbness of the first two periods and feeling the pall over the crowd at 3-1 made that so much sweeter. It was also nice that the Sabres finally scored an empty-netter so the fans could have a prolonged celebration (with Rivet's fight as a special bonus). It's so much better than having to sit with a bundle of nerves for the final horn.

And we are in total mind-meld reading the Edge. I was irked by Harrington's "stop enjoying youself" tone, but you took the words right out of my keyboard.
